Lots of packing and repacking tonight as we all get ready to head down to London.
We meet at Tower Bridge tomorrow morning at 8am.
You’ll be able to start tracking our journey on this site from tomorrow at the same time.
On the 4th September a small group of 'not really cyclists' will leave Tower Bridge in London heading for the Eiffel Tower in Paris. They will arrive 3 (long) days later having completed the 206 mile journey - raising lots of money for Help for Heroes and Chester Heart Support Group charities.

With just 2 training days left (chief coach says no training thu/fri!) it’s getting awfully close to the big ride now. Last minute training is taking place to squeeze in some miles. Important decisions such as what flavour energy drinks will be needed, how many Mars bars will be consumed per hour, and the nutritional contents of chocolate croissants (or should we say pain au chocolat) are now been calculated. Route planning is also taking place – we’ve now got a route from London to Newhaven and should shortly finish the plans to get us through France.
We will be grouping together at Tower Bridge in London at 8am on Saturday before setting off heading south over the river on our 3 day journey to Paris.
You’ll be able to keep track of our progress in near real-time here on this website! We’ll also keep it up to date with news, and information about the route we have taken will be uploaded at the end of each day. Plenty of pictures and videos taken by us and our support team will also be added as we go, and once we complete our adventure.
Don’t forget, it’s not too late to sponsor us if you haven’t already!
We’ve made this weeks Chester and Frodsham Chronicle and Ellesmere Port Pioneer!
With just over a week to go, final preparations are been made. Last minute training, bike tweaking, route planning and lots of others things to get ready!
We’ve raised over £1,555 so far, and really want to push this well over £2,000! So if you haven’t got round to sponsoring us yet, now would be a great time… you can do it online or contact us offline. Thankyou!
During the trip we’ll be updating the site with news and you’ll be able to keep track of our progress – so stay tuned!
Hi all! I would just like to thank everyone who turned up to help out at the carboot sale today, after the great sucess we had a few weeks ago we thought we would try and raise some more money to fund the trip. today we raised the a total £93.64! I would also like to thank those that sponsored us today this will be added to the grand total, which I will update soon. thank you everyone!!! x
Well training has properly kicked in with only 9 weeks to go! Its getting a bit close now. I have got into the routine of doing either a bike ride or going to the gym every other day, aswell as going out with the kids at work on the bikes. We may not go far but its not very easily cycling with an 18month old sitting on the bike of the bike swaying and singing ‘row row row your boat’. We are also doing well on the sponsorship front, and I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us so far!
Some piccys from a few recent rides out…
Everything is now all booked for our trip – accommodation and ferry’s! We’d like to take this oppurtunity to thank LD Lines for supporting us by offering a substantial discount on our ferry crossings. Thank you! If you need a ferry, you can find out more about them at http://www.ldlines.co.uk.
I would like to say thank you to Emily, Denise and Jean who all came to help me out on the car boot sale today. The proceeds from the sale are going to help fund the trip. The grand total of the sale today was £106.72!!
We went to Llandegla for the afternoon to do the ‘red route’ and had three punctures, one crash, a dodgy chain and a five mile walk back to the car with our broken bikes! Oops.
